This morning I got a phone call, which I answered on the third ring.

"Hi! What are you doing home?" weird question, but not overly so.

"Oh, I just went to the bathroom..."

"Gee, thanks for sharing..."

"...and before that, I was on the phone with tech support getting my internet working for the first time in six weeks."

"Wow, well good! Wipe that brow."

"Tell me about it. It' didn't take very long, but I just didn't have the energy or motivation to get it taken care of sooner."

"Well, good for you! Hey, is your mom around?" Okay, up till now, the voice of my caller has sounded like 1) my aunt Sylvia (but the laugh was a little off) or 2) a friend of a friend, whose garage window I"m supposed to climb through tomorrow to fix something. But both of these people KNOW my mom isn't around.

"Um, my mom lives in Ohio..."

"Whaaa-? Who is this?"

"This is Jenni. Who is this?"

"This is Angie, and I have no idea who you are! I thought you were my neice Megan who's supposed to be at school!"

Turns out she'd dialed 522 instead of 552 after the area code and I sounded like the person she was trying to reach! We had a nice little chat afterward and promised to chat again someday. And all of a sudden, I'm in a pretty good mood. How very VERY random! :D
